Annual Events

If you like old tractors and farm equipment, the Old Time Flywheel Reunion is the place to be. Held July 26-29. The Flywheel includes implement displays, parades, music, museums and more.  All at the Macon County Park.

Throughout the year it's not hard to find a small town homecoming or other events in the communities of Atlanta, Bevier, Bucklin, Clarence, Callao, Ethel, La Plata, and New Cambria.  All host celebrations for the whole family.  The communities of Bevier and Clarence are well known for the top Nashville entertainment they bring into this area.

Lolli Brothers Livestock Market is host to several unusual auctions each year.  The largest Exotic Animal Sale in the country is held four times a year right here in Macon.  The facility can house anything from giraffes to chipmunks.  Two large buildings are filled with taxidermy items, which are also sold during the Exotic Sales.  Other sales held by the Lolli Bros. are their monthly horse sales, their 2-Day Horse sales, weekly cattle sales and their Western and Early American Artifact Sales.

The Show Me Show Down Truck & Tractor Pull is one of the biggest and best in the Country.  This event takes place August 3-4.
